Workflow Signing

Secure and flexible signing built into your solution

Workflow Signing is Signaturgruppen’s solution for electronically signing PDF documents, a part of the Signaturgruppen Broker platform. The solution is based on APIs and OpenID Connect and supports signing workflows involving one or more documents and one or more signatories.

Workflow Signing is designed for integration into your own solutions, enabling signing to be handled in a structured, secure and verifiable manner without requiring you to implement signing functionality, certificates/trust infrastructure yourselves.

ELECTRONIC SIGNING
What is Workflow Signing

Workflow signing is Signaturgruppen’s electronic signing solution, where the signing functionality forms part of a workflow controlled by your integration. You define the documents, signatories and signing order, while the signing itself is completed through Signaturgruppen Broker.

Security and documentation

Signing can be completed using personal MitID or MitID Business. Once a workflow has been completed, the result can be provided as a sealed PAdES document suitable for long-term preservation or as a signed workflow token (JWT) for storage in your systems.

Integration and technology

Workflow signing is integrated through APIs and OpenID Connect and serves as a technical building block within your existing systems. Your service controls the workflow and business logic, while Signaturgruppen provides secure and verifiable signing.

How it works in practice

  1. 1 Documents are created or uploaded as part of the workflow
  2. 2 You define the workflow, documents, signatories and signing order
  3. 3 When a signature is required, workflow signing is initiated through Signaturgruppen Broker
  4. 4 Signing is completed following successful authentication with MitID or MitID Business
  5. 5 The result can then be retrieved as a PAdES document and/or workflow token (JWT), including complete documentation

Typical use cases

Workflow signing is often used as a signing component in solutions for:

  • Multi-party contracts
  • Board and management decisions
  • HR documents and employment contracts
  • Supplier and partnership agreements
  • Public-sector and administrative processes
